Most of the CPL Board will be in Washington, DC, this week for Master Agreement Negotiations. It will most likely be more of the same as last time; the Union trying to get the Agency to return to more reasonable positions in regard to the
Staff Entrance and Search Procedures policy, LMR, Partnership, Pre-decisional Involvement, etc.
As you know, we are moving forward with ULPs and grievances in order to preserve our time-frames; we are also exploring other avenues of remedy as well, so stay tuned.
While I'm in DC, I'll be following up on a meeting I had last trip with a Senate Council (attorney) who works on the Senate Sub-committee for Government Oversight and the Federal Workforce. The last meeting I had with him went quite well; he was especially interested in how drastically the Agency is trying to remove employee and Union rights from the Master Agreement.
