Where is Mike Now - Master Agreement Negotiations

Most of the CPL Board will be in Washington, DC, this week for Master Agreement Negotiations. It will most likely be more of the same as last time; the Union trying to get the Agency to return to more reasonable positions in regard to the  Staff Entrance and Search Procedures policy, LMR, Partnership, Pre-decisional Involvement, etc.

As you know, we are moving forward with ULPs and grievances in order to preserve our time-frames; we are also exploring other avenues of remedy as well, so stay tuned.

While I'm in DC, I'll be following up on a meeting I had last trip with a Senate Council (attorney) who works on the Senate Sub-committee for Government Oversight and the Federal Workforce.  The last meeting I had with him went quite well; he was especially interested in how drastically the Agency is trying to remove employee and Union rights from the Master Agreement.
