AFGE has produced an emergency edition of the Fight Back News which highlights the impact of the Ryan House Budget proposal. The budget is a brutal attack on federal employees and the services we deliver.
The latest House Budget plan, unveiled by Rep. Paul Ryan (WI) on March 20, proposes a staggering $368 billion in additional federal workforce cuts over the next 10 years including:
• Extending the current pay freeze for three years
• Massive cuts to federal pensions totaling $78 billion
• Cutting 10 percent of the federal workforce
The Fight Back News is approved by the AFGE General Councils Office for work-site distribution with the caveat (included on the News) that it cannot be reproduced or circulated on duty time, using government equipment or government resources.
