Pepper Spray Coming - Pilot Program Memorandum Signed

The Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Aerosol Spray Pilot Program Operational Memorandum was re-drafted with the input of the Union (Council Executive Board).

Program Statement P1066.04, Pilot Initiatives, Approval and Evaluation states, "Because implemented Pilot Initiatives may affect conditions of employment which may warrant bargaining over the procedures and appropriate arrangements, the Employer will provide notification to the President of the Council of Prison Locals prior to implementation."

We made several changes to the memorandum that made it a better program as it relates to the impact and implementation in regard to line staff.

I'd post the final version of The Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Aerosol Spray Pilot Program Operational Memorandum, but I got myself in hot water recently for sharing the 3 year rotation solution language from the Partnership Meeting.  We put the operational memorandum up on the big screen during the general session on the first day of the Western Regional Caucus.  For those of you that weren't there, give me a shout in the comments section, and I'll email you a copy.
